Oh, hello, there! I’m Denise Jacquet and that busy body was my son, Gilbert. We own/run J’Adore Bakery here in Bluewater Village. It was my husband’s passion… the bakery. After losing him, Gilbert and I have struggled to keep it afloat. We’re doing all right now, except for a few changes in opinion.
Gilbert… shakes head sadly he’s been giving me some trouble lately. You see… I’ve started dating agian.
Thats my young stud muffin, there, Ajay Loner. I met him at a spa in Downtown while I was scouting out places to sell my baked goods. It’s all part of my plot to expand the business, now that trad between the cities has improved.
Ajay is a sweet, attentive lover and being with him has reminded me that I’m not a dottering old fool after all.
He sweeps me off my feet in a way I haven’t felt since Yves and I first got together.
Gilbert doesn’t it, but hes not my father. He’s my son, and sometimes he needs to remember that. I don’t need his permission to date anyone.
Besides, there’s not harm in what Ajay and I are doing. Yves has been dead for so long now, and it’s not like I can get pregnant or anything.
Unlike that… green-skinned harlot my Gilbert has taken up with.
Chloe Curious-Smith… everyone has been talking about her lately. How she’s been seeing Daniel Pleasant on the sly… and then she winds up pregnant. Tongues are wagging, let me tell you! There’s even a rumor that the baby is Daniel’s!
You see how they behave, even now that she’s supposed to be dating Gilbert? My Ajay would never do a thing like that to me. He’s 100% faithful to me all the way. We’re even talking about… well, it’s best not to say just yet, lest Gilbert get wind of it. I need to broach the subject gently with the boy.
Still, I worry about him. Gilbert, that is.
He’s gotten so close to Chloe recently and while I admit that when she’s with him she seems really devoted to him, her reputation is not the best.
I know they’re sleeping together. I’m not so old fashioned to think that they aren’t.
But what if he goes and does something irresponsible like… like... well, I supposed she would just tell him no, right? Oh, that would break my boy’s heart and that would be terrible. But I can’t see that girl settling down with him, or anyone else, for that matter. She would bring so much heartache for Gilbert.
Denise Jacquet … *thinks* … Uhh … is the mother of Gilbert Jacquet. The Gilbert Jacquet in my hoods has black hair. *boggles* I iz confuzzled. :O)) Hehe. Wow … it’s so weird seeing all of these families colliding. It reminds me that I started a separate account on my computer where I only have the ubermegahood … but I haven’t done anything with it. :OD

He had black hair in my game, too, until I got up close and realized he dyes it. Atleast, in my game he does. He had black hair and blond eyebrows. So I changed his hair to match his brows.
It is interesting to see the denizens of different hoods collide. I’ve been taking notes for long-term things, as well. The Goths, Roths (Riverblossom) and Malcolm Landgraab are the 3 richest families in the game. I’m calling the The Big Three in my mind.
Seeing all these UberMegaHood blogs recently makes me want to play my own. ACK! Too many choices!

Docnerd has hooked Gilbert up with a gay half-alien named Cassidy..and they are so cute together..I almost can’t picture Gil with a woman! lol

I don’t know! She was preggers before he started dating her, so he knows its not his. I’m still waiting to get back to Pleasantview so I can see if Daniel’s sh*t hits the fan.

Denise comes off as judgmental to me, especially of Gilbert and Chloe. (They have a 3-lb relationship, unlike Ajay. Besides… we’ve already established that Ajay is not on the up and up.) But she is also a little bit naive and that kind of helps to endear her in this.
I can’t remember what Gilbert is, but Chloe definitely *is* Romance. But, as I said above, they have 3-lb.
I’m happy for Denise.
Gilbert in my game ended up, after having fathered many children in the ‘hood, falling big time for a townie. (I can’t remember who she was) but she wanted six kids and they ended up having two alien children and four other children.
The megahood seems so fun, but I barely have time to play my own ‘hood. What to do??
That makes me laugh, how the links lead to things that Denise doesn’t know. To me, she’s just an overworried mother that really doesn’t like Chloe. My Denise was a real busybody, too obsessed with her toymaking bench to worry about Gilbert. Oh the tangled webs they weave…
I love Denise’s hair! It suits her so well. Gilbert looks soooo different as a blonde. Amazing what hair color can do.

I agree with Denise, she’s been a widow for a while now and has absolutely earned the right to date! Nothing wrong with Chloe though, I don’t think. :-b
